Yesterday we went to SFO to see the 75th anniversary celebrations of the
Golden Gate bridge. We always wanted to roam around SF. We got down at civic center
Bart after dropping off car at millbrae and taking off Bart from there.
We walked through the farmers market there and also had tamale ( a Mexican local delicacy ) , on the way to fort mason, Sree also had a Turkish coffee which was amazing. We walked around 3 miles to where all the stalls were set up.. Had noodles there and walked around.
The fireworks were only at 9:30pm so we had a good 6 hrs. We basically lied down on the sand talking, and in between having something to eat. It was extremely cold and windy, but we stayed. Fireworks happened around 9:30 and intro was good, but rest of it was ok.. After the 20 min fireworks, we had to walk around 4 miles to Bart station , and it was around 1 by the time we reached home. We were glad we made the trip, because you never know if u are going to be around in sfo for the 100 year anniv of GG :)
